With a foundation built over 20 years in the military, I understand that physical fitness isn't just a choice; it's a way of life. Now, at 40, I continue to embrace the power of discipline, structure, and hard work. Weight training is my daily ritual – where I forge not only a robust physique but also mental resilience. The same determination that guided me through military service fuels my dedication to mastering each lift, each repetition, pushing myself further than before. As a nature lover, I've swapped the uniform for hiking boots and the battlegrounds for breathtaking trails. Colorado's landscapes are my training grounds now. Every hike is a reminder that the journey matters as much as the destination, a philosophy that echoes through every aspect of my life. Off-roading isn't just an adrenaline rush; it's a reminder of the rewards that come from calculated risks. Navigating the rugged terrains of Colorado in my trusty vehicle isn't just a hobby – it's a testament to my ability to adapt, learn, and thrive in the face of challenges. Though the military didn't teach me about the importance of nutrition, it did teach me the determination that is needed to succeed. I partnered with a fitness/nutrition coach and built the nutritional fundamentals. Now I understand how it fuels performance and recovery. My journey has been a quest to find the balance between fueling my body for optimal performance and savoring the pleasures of life. Structure isn't a constraint; it's my secret weapon. From military drills to daily routines, I thrive on a structured life. It's the framework that allows me to excel in my passions and stay connected to what truly matters.
